Our Story

Hey y'all!

We are Bethany and Seth Corona. We are high school sweethearts who both graduated from Farmerville High School. Bethany is a 4-H Agent and Seth works offshore. We now live in Rocky Branch with our two daughters, Evangeline and McKenna Grace. We love living in Union Parish, and we are so excited that Farmerville is growing!

207 N. Main Street used to be the home of the Farmerville TV Repair Shop. Seth's Granddaddy, Wayne McFarland, owned the tv shop from the 1980's on. Seth has fond memories of spending time with his Grandaddy and Uncle at the shop. Granddaddy passed away in 2015, and the shop has sat dormant since.

That Place Downtown came to be because Bethany was throwing a shower for a family member, and was so frustrated that she couldn't find a place in Farmerville that had an aesthetic to accommodate a brunch shower. As she was driving around looking for other options, she drove by the tv shop, and it clicked. What if we purchased the shop and turned it into a venue?

Our Mission:

We want to preserve the historic beauty that is hidden right there at 207 N. Main Street. We want to provide a space for events that can accommodate various themes and guest lists. We hope to create an elegant space inside, and a fun, chill vibe outside. In addition to renting out That Place Downtown as an event venue, we also hope to provide events ourselves that are family friendly for the folks in our community. Ultimately, our goal is to add our touch to the community through this small business, as Farmerville continues to grow.
